Greetings …and solicitations?

Tomorrow Mike and I call my boss in Japan for the last time before we officially meet him on SUNDAY.  Gotta make sure I find out if we’ll have a blanket when we arrive…  We’re also going to the consulate to pick up Mike’s visa!

That just leaves seeing everyone in our families, celebrating Christmas with MY family (we had M&M Christmas today at Mike’s), and figuring out how to pack my life into 100 pounds worth o’ luggage space.

I’d wholeheartedly appreciate any tips on travel if you’ve got them. I’m trying to prepare as much as possible, but like anything one overthinks I’m sure I’ll miss something.  Also, the flight is 14 hours so PLEASE, hook a sister up with a good book.

Enjoy some photos from the first of many going-away gatherings.  Mike threw a Japanese-themed party complete with J-pop, DDR, sake, and a ridiculous wig thanks to my good friend Alex:

Noel, not Alex.
